The LoRa standard is currently widely employed for low-power long-range wireless sensor networks at sub-GHz frequency bands. longer wavelengths associated with technology provide excellent radiowave propagation characteristics, yielding a much larger coverage than the higher In case of wearable sensors, 868 MHz band can be covered by textile substrate-integrated-waveguide antennas convenient size. body-centric communication systems, front-to-back (F/B) diversity an important asset to mitigate shadowing presence human body. This article describes textile-antenna-based platform integrated transceivers. Outdoor measurement campaigns are conducted assess performance nodes F/B in urban radio environment walking and cycling speeds. These experiments prove that large ranges 1.5 km easily reliably achieved off-body links. results demonstrate significant improvement terms packet loss NLoS situations when comparing single-receiver different spatial receiver applications. addition, link budget increases up 5.5 dB, owing realized gain.
